Adjustable AC Power Controller for Electric Heaters, Grills and Resistive Loads

This powerful 220V AC voltage regulator is designed for smooth adjustment of electrical power and output voltage supplied to compatible electrical appliances. It uses thyristor/triac phase-angle control technology, which regulates the effective AC output voltage by controlling the portion of the AC sine wave delivered to the connected load.

The output is manually adjusted using a rotary potentiometer, providing convenient control over the power of connected equipment. The output voltage can be adjusted approximately from 0V to 220V AC, depending on the connected load and the regulator's initial adjustment.

The module features a large aluminium heat sink for effective heat dissipation and a ventilated protective enclosure. Its compact construction makes it suitable for integration into electrical control panels, project enclosures and custom power-control systems.

For continuous operation, the recommended load is up to 2200W with resistive loads, provided that adequate cooling is maintained. The advertised maximum peak power of 5000W should not be considered a continuous operating power rating.

Important Usage Information:

This regulator is primarily designed for resistive loads. It is not suitable for switching power supplies, LED lights with electronic drivers, transformers or sensitive electronic equipment. Reliable operation with induction motors and other inductive loads is not guaranteed.

This type of controller adjusts the AC waveform through phase-angle control and does not provide galvanic isolation from the mains supply. It is not a replacement for an adjustable laboratory power supply.
